EPCC Theatre Announces Auditions for Scapino!

A Romantic Comedy of Schemes, Slapstick, and Chaos

By Frank Dunlop & Jim Dale — “A long way off from Molière,” but twice as playful

El Paso, TX — The El Paso Community College Theatre Program is thrilled to announce open auditions for Scapino! by Frank Dunlop and Jim Dale, a lively romantic comedy packed with slapstick humor, bold characters, and nonstop farcical fun. Inspired by Molière but joyfully modernized, Scapino! brings a whirlwind of laughter to the stage.

AUDITION DATES:

December 2 & 3 at 7:00 PM

LOCATION: EPCC Transmountain Campus — Forum Theatre

Auditions will be cold reads from the script.

EPCC Theatre is seeking 10 men and 4 women to bring this energetic and colorful ensemble to life. Actors of all experience levels are encouraged to audition and jump into the sharp timing and physical comedy that define this farce.

Scapino! follows the clever and chaotic Scapino, a quick-witted trickster who cooks up elaborate schemes to help two young men win the loves of their lives. Between furious fathers, tangled plans, and Scapino’s own questionable ideas, the story delivers comedic twists from start to finish.

This production offers performers a chance to dive into dynamic movement, bold character choices, and the high-energy joy of slapstick theatre.
