Message from President Serrata concerning 2020 graduation

To the Class of 2020,

To each of our incredible students who have reached the important milestone of graduation, congratulations!

You have worked hard, dedicated yourself to your studies and now have reached the completion of your degree or certificate.

EPCC is very proud of you!

We know that most of you have looked forward to crossing the stage and being presented with your degree at the commencement ceremony.

This is an incredible moment for you, your family and friends.

While COVID-19 will change how we celebrate the Class of 2020 graduates, it will not diminish our pride in each and every graduate.

In the best interest of the health and well-being of each of you, your families and our entire community, we will be recognizing this year’s graduates with a virtual ceremony.

The commencement will be streamed online and will also air on EPCC-TV so that all of your friends and family, near and far, can watch and celebrate your achievement.

Students who graduated in the spring, summer or fall of 2020 will be receiving an email from our Graduations Office with more information.

Graduates will also have an opportunity to provide a picture and statement to be included in the virtual commencement ceremony.

The graduation airing and streaming date will be announced in early December and we look forward to you, your families and friends participating in this celebration.

EPCC congratulates the Class of 2020!

Sincerely,

William Serrata, Ph.D.

President, El Paso Community College
