Mass Comm students will have the opportunity to hear directly from one of El Paso’s leading advertising agencies when EFO Media presents at the college colloquium on Thursday, April 23, at 1 p.m.
The presentation will give attendees an inside look at what it is like to work in a professional advertising agency, from managing client relationships to developing campaigns across multiple media platforms. EFO Media representatives will also discuss some of the latest strategies and techniques they use in today’s ever-changing advertising environment.
A woman-owned business, EFO Media has earned a reputation in the region for its fresh perspective on media and its success serving major clients such as the El Paso Children’s Hospital, Rudolph Automotive Group and Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino, among many others.
The agency’s work spans a wide range of platforms, including traditional linear television, streaming video services such as Hulu and YouTube, podcasts and radio, outdoor billboards, TikTok and Instagram content, and Google Search campaigns.
Featured speakers will include Ellen F. Ordaz, founder of EFO Media, along with Digital Media Director Samantha Sandoval, Account Director Karah Ordaz, and Account Executive Alexandra Valenzuela. Together, they will share professional insights into the realities of agency work and the skills needed to succeed in today’s advertising industry.
The colloquium will also give students a chance to ask questions and connect with professionals currently working in the field. In addition, EFO Media will be accepting resumes for future internship opportunities, and students are encouraged to bring a copy of their resume to the event.
The event is designed to help students better understand career possibilities in advertising, public relations, digital media, and related fields while building connections with professionals in El Paso's media community.
