EPCC Special Event with Howdy Homemade Ice Cream

EPCC's Center for Students with Disabilities team and the Howdy Homemade Ice Cream team at a reveal for a special EPCC ice cream flavor at Valle Verde on November 1st, 2023.


EPCC and Howdy Homemade Ice Cream brought a specially flavored ice cream to EPCC

students and faculty in partnership with the Project HIGHER, which helps students with special

needs, to Valle Verde on November 1, 2023.


EPCC and Howdy Homemade Ice Cream collaborate to bring a special Cookies and Cream Dream ice cream to students.


Howdy Homemade Ice Cream handed out free ice cream to over 200 students and faculty. Over 400 students participated in voting for the EPCC flavor. “Cookies and Cream Dream” won with 188 votes.

EPCC’s Center for Students with Disabilities program Project HIGHER collaborated with Howdy Homemade Ice Cream to get their students involved in their community.





Project HIGHER focuses on helping students with special needs by helping them obtain technical certifications in various fields. Howdy Homemade Ice Cream’s mission is to provide

jobs to people with IDDs.


The Howdy Homemade Ice Cream team hands out free ice cream to EPCC students.


They collaborated to bring students together, and involved Gabriel Briseno, an EPCC graphic

design major, to design artwork in honor of the event.


Students and faculty were able to enjoy great ice cream and promote CSD, Project HIGHER and Howdy Homemade Ice Cream.
