$1 fish tacos and $6 po’ boys were just some of the featured foods at Dia De Los Pescados’ 2-year anniversary celebration.
Located at 2200 N. Zaragoza are the best fish tacos in El Paso. Dia De Los Pescados has spent the last two years becoming an eastside favorite.

The Po' boys sandwich is one of
their most acclaimed dish.
Their menu features fish tacos, po’ boy sandwiches, coconut shrimp, shrimp alfredo fries, fish tacos and more.
The dishes on display are family recipes dating back to when owners Nadine and Victor Gonzalez were living in California.
The Gonzalez family opened their food truck in October 2017, after family friends told them they had to sell their food and their customers are lucky for it.
The food truck parked in front of the First Light Federal Credit Union on Zaragoza is one of my personal favorites.
I did a profile on the food truck in the summer and since then a lot has changed.
DDLP is now open Thursday through Sunday from 6 P.M. to 10 P.M. on Thursdays and Sundays and 6 P.M. to 11 P.M. on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Baja Boy Sandwich and Taco Boy Sandwich are new menu items. Also, the summer sale of 10 fish tacos for $20 has now been extended through the end of 2019.
For their 2-year anniversary, DDLP had a celebration night with special hours and a special menu.
From 4 to 9 pm, DDLP sold their staples for a crazy price.
Fish tacos sold for $1 a piece and po’ boy sandwiches sold for $6.
For the families, DDLP provided a bounce house, a face painter, and board games on each table.
DDLP has always seen itself as a family business.
They want to make sure that big groups can go to them and get a lot of food, for a good price. This is an important philosophy that goes into all of their business decisions.
The Gonzalez family is large, with eight people and they want their business to be one that they could go to and enjoy as well.
This is why they have sales like the 10 fish tacos for $20 and have other sales like 4 fish tacos, fish n’ chips, a fish sandwich, and 3 drinks for $25.
You can see any updates for hours and news of sales on their Instagram account @diadelospescados. Their social media is a big part of their success according to owner Victor Gonzalez. The Instagram account has been a great way for the Gonzalez’ family to connect with their loyal customers.
My personal favorite item is the fish tacos followed closely by the fish n’ chips.
The beer battered fish is ridiculously tasty and the fish tacos make me forget how much I dislike tomato.
I’m not a sandwich lover, but even I have to admit that their sandwiches are top notch.
Other favorites are the coconut shrimp and the shrimp alfredo fries.
DDLP understands that not everyone is a seafood fan, and they encourage any apprehensive customers give them a chance.
I highly recommend anyone go to Dia De Los Pescados, even if you aren’t necessarily a seafood fan.
