Cheryl A. Bowman and Dale A. Hougham were longtime EPCC employees who made lasting impacts not only on the school but the entire community.
To honor their memory the EPCC foundation has created two new scholarships in their honor. These scholarships will continue their legacy of helping out students and the community.
Dale A. Hougham, Managing director for Enrollment
Management at EPCC for 33 years.
Both scholarships are available for all students.
“[Cheryl Bowman and Dale Hougham] did everything they could to support students,” said Dolores Gross, the Executive Director of the Epcc foundation “The memorial scholarships were made to honor their life and their work”.
Both of them were longtime contributors to the foundation and to many programs that help out the community.
Even though they are no longer with us Cheryl Bowman and Dale Hougham continue to help the community and students in need, not only with their scholarships but also with the programs they participated in.
“Cheryl was very involved in the campus improvement team,” said Gross “she did a lot of volunteer work for the community.”
Bowman was a Security Analyst for Information Technology at EPCC for 35 years. According to Cheryl Bowman’s scholarship donation page, she was involved in many charitable programs such as the “Keep El Paso Warm” blanket drive, the Little Free Libraries, and many other charity efforts, as well as a regular donor to many EPCC foundation scholarships.Dale Hougham was a Managing Director for Enrollment Management for 33 years at EPCC.
He was also a longtime donor to many Foundation scholarships. According to Dale Hougham’s scholarship donation page, Hougham enjoyed volunteering, supporting and assisting staff, and conversing with his co-workers in a variety of topics such as sports, technology, and politics.
