The Accomplishments comes on the heels of the national ranking teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Poll.

Individually at the NMJC Invitational, EPCC’s Everlyn Kemboi won the race with a time of 14:43 landing her the role of “athlete of the week”.

This was the second fastest time in the history of the race. As Kemboi led EPCC Women’s Cross country team into first at the NMJCI, Everlyn kemboi was named the female athlete of the week by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Kemboi and her Tejano teammates are always winners when it comes to national distinction. Leading the men was Dennis Kiptoo who finished second with a time of 21:40 for the 7K men’s race.

The women and men’s teams finished first and second respectively at their last meet, the New Mexico Junior College Invitational, on Sept.28.

The next meet will be at the UCR Highlander Invitational in Riverside, California on Oct.19.
