According to a press release from the shaved ice company, “The main ingredient, Açaí, (pronounced ah-sigh-ee), is a superfruit carrying high levels of antioxidants straight from the tropical Amazon regions of Brazil.

The blend is made with only the highest quality organic ingredients including organic Açaí, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, organic unsweetened coconut milk and a sprinkle of pure cane sugar. This wholesome treat is generously garnished with nut-free granola, fresh strawberries, and fresh bananas.”

The Bahama Bucks Acai bowl comes in two sizes, 12 oz at 7.49 and 16 oz at 8.99 with a calorie range of 285 to 380.

So now, you can indulge in a snack that’s as sweet as candy but also a healthy alternative. Some even eat an acai bowl as a meal-replacement.

On top of Bucks’ acai mix, granola is spread on top to add a crunchy feeling and keep it from being too mushy. You also have the option to add honey to your entree.

I am no health expert when it comes to eating but I do tend to stay on a lean diet, mostly staying away from too much sugar and balancing how much I eat in a day.

However, as I was eating, I not only felt great, but it satisfied me for a couple of hours. The acai berry mix is what struck me the most.

The texture made me feel like I was eating a smoothie but it also felt thick enough to make me feel like it was a bowl of yogurt. It is good nonetheless and it will sure be a good snack to eat if one simply wants to have a light snack or after hitting the gym.
