The El Paso Community College Theater Ensemble will be debuting their rendition of the 2014 musical Into The Woods on Thursday.
Students are currently rehearsing their roles for EPCC's newest musical production.
The show is being produced by Keith Townsend, theater professor.
Townsend has been a theater instructor for 17 years.
When asked what inspired him to choose Into The Woods he responded, “Whenever I choose to do a show, I choose one that I know will be a good fit for the students,” Townsend said.
Into The Woods features a huge cast of familiar fairy tale characters like Rapunzel and Cinderella.
EPCC students, Jordyn Catanach and Erick Canales will be playing the two main characters, the Bakers.
Allie Mendoza is playing Jack and Hannah Perchins will be playing Jack’s mother.
“This is our most challenging and ambitious production yet, the music is especially difficult to learn,” Townsend said.
All the actors certainly have big shoes to fill, especially Jamie Orfanas who will be playing Cinderella.
“It’s going to be a great show we’ve got a lot of talent here, come out and see it,” Townsend said.
General admission tickets are $15, non-EPCC students and military are $10, and EPCC students/staff and senior citizens are $7. The box office opens two hours before the show.
The show will be at 9570 Gateway North at the EPCC Forum Theater.
Performances will be held on March 2,3,4,9,10 and 11 at 8 p.m. and March 5 and March 12 at 2:30 p.m.
