The Rio Grande campus will have their annual student fair in their cafeteria, which will be held on March 8.
Student fairs at all EPCC campuses are held once a semester and each campus sets up their own events.
Student fairs are intended to get, new and returning students, familiar with the many programs and offices that are available to them at that specific campus.
“We have the counselors, campus life, student government, and many other clubs so students can get familiar with what we have to offer,” said Raul Hernandez, Director of Campus Life at Rio Grande campus.
Getting to know a campus and what it offers is a big advantage for students.
There can be some services that could benefit an individual in the long run or something to do if you have some free time.
The Rio Grande Campus Life has chosen to go with a cowboy/western theme for the fair, to show some love for Tejano Jack, whose birthday is on the month of March.
Students are encouraged to dress up but it is not a requirement to enter.
To go along with the theme, Raul Hernandez said, “We will also have a mechanical bull and an area with some hay for pictures."
Food, beverages and a mechanical bull will also be available.
However to fully participate and enjoy everything there is to offer, students must have an up to date student ID.
If a student does not have one or needs to get it updated, they can go to any Campus Life office and get everything settled just in time for the student fair.
