Managing time while being a student is one of the most difficult things.
It sounds like an easy enough task, but then there’s also work, projects, going out, and of course sleep.
Then, there’s also what most people know as procrastination.
Honestly who hasn’t done it, especially us students.
It’s so easy to leave things until the last minute, maybe it’s the adrenaline that you might not finish it, or the knowledge that you have to turn the assignment in before the deadline, but we’ve all been there.
I’ve procrastinated even before I knew what the word meant, and what I have found is that I work so much better under pressure and maybe that’s what happens to most students, or they’re just lazy.
It’s just easy to find other things to do instead of doing the assignments that you’re supposed to do.
And one thing that definitely does not help is Netflix.
I could spend the entire day watching a TV show or reading a book if it was up to me.
When you start college you’re always listening to why it’s so important to manage your time, not to procrastinate and how both of those things are the key to a successful education.
During my first semester at EPCC that’s what instructors always said and I’m sure they’re still saying it.
I tried it for a while and to be honest it was difficult but it also paid off, my grades went up and I had more time for myself.
One thing I have realized is that it’s impossible for me to do everything that’s expected.
I can have good grades, be good at my job, and sleep my eight hours, maybe a little more, but then I won't have the energy to go out with my friends.
If some people can manage to do all of this then I want to know how they do it.
It has been difficult for me and I’m sure there are many students out there that want to know the same.
There are many memes out there that talk about this all the time, which made me realize that I’m not the only one struggling with this issue.
The memes are usually about how students don’t have enough time for everything and still manage to have fun.
I guess it’s just about learning how to balance everything, to have fun but also be responsible at school, which is one very difficult task.
So if you are procrastinating don’t feel bad because others are probably doing it right now, but one thing is for sure, it’s not the best way to live your day-to-day life.
