Intramural Sports to host indoor co-ed soccer league

 The EPCC Intramural Sports Department is hosting a co-ed indoor soccer league.

 

The due date to sign up for this event has already pased, but that doesn’t mean you can’t watch all games are every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. 


On Oct. 27, Osvaldo and Portugal competed with Osvaldo coming out victorious with a score of, 11 to 6, and Holanda beating Honduras 11 to 6. 


Then on Nov. 1, Los Juangas beat U.S.A. 9 to 7. And Real Madrid beat the F.C. Lobos 9 to 6. 


The championship starts Tuesday Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m.

 

The top four teams from both, the Tuesday and Thursday division, will be competing for the title of co-ed champion. 


But that’s not all the department has going on, they are also hosting a Bench press contest on Monday Nov. 21 at the VV Cafeteria Annex from 10 to 1:30 p.m. 


Students who participate will be given a free t-shirt, ant the top lifters, males and females, will be given a medal. 


Finally, they will also be hosting a Turkey Trot on Nov. 23. 


The Turkey Trot is a 2.1-mile run open to all EPCC students with a valid EPCC issued ID card. 


All contestants will get a free t-shirt and the top three male and female runners will receive medals. 


Registration starts at 9 a.m. on the day of the race with the starting line being in front of the Valle Verde gym.
