EPCC Student Ambassadors are taking applications. The application deadline is August 1.
Interviews will take place between August 10 –11, and ambassador training will be August 15 –16.
Applications should be submitted to the Student Leadership and Campus Life offices on EPCC campuses.
“Becoming a student ambassador is a great way to gain leadership skills that will help build a resume.
Students will gain many transferable skills such as social, organization and problem solving skills,” said Student leadership and Campus Life Director Arvis Jones.
Student ambassadors will work with the community, students and staff.
“Ambassadors provide visitors with an overview of campus facilities, programs and atmosphere,” said Jones.
“Ambassadors join recruiters in representing the college fairs, school visits and community events. Additionally, the support college offices in need of assistance.”
According to Jones, the program looks for positive students, who are enthusiasm, good communicators, efficient in costumer service and who are open to learning new things.
There are several benefits to being a Student Ambassador.
Students will receive funds for six credit hours each semester, resume enhancement, free EPCC campus parking, gain work experience and will develop skills that are transferable into the work field.
Students will also receive official apparel to wear.
Students who are seeking to become an Ambassador must submit an application, two letters of recommendation and their high school or current college transcripts.
