I love El Paso. I do not care how many times I hear people say “it is not even really apart of Texas.”
That is your opinion not mine. I feel just as a part of Texas as any other city.
When people say there isn’t much to do here, I like to tell them they aren’t looking around them.
There is always something going on in El Paso.
You can go downtown and have a tour of the Plaza Theatre on any Tuesday at noon.
There is farmers markets, local organizations having events at parks, or even some marathons going on.
I feel that the disconnect is with the night life here. There is bars and clubs like any other city and late night open restaurants and coffee places.
I think that it is mainly people who come from other places who feel this way.
I was born and raised in El Paso, I love it here.
I have travelled a lot. I have been to San Diego, Vegas, San Francisco, and Phoenix, to name a few.
So yes, I do know what else is out there.
There is even a better sports field here with the triple-A team of the San Diego Padres playing there now.
I just hope that El Pasoans and people visiting El Paso see the true beauty and the wonderful things El Paso has to offer.
For example, we are a low cost city but we have a beautiful ballpark here.
We are a safer large city than most but at a better price.
I feel as if it is the best of both worlds. Our downtown area is getting an up-lift and hopefully our historical beauty is preserved.
I love the architecture of the downtown and surrounding area. Even the houses are stunning!
I cannot see why anyone would say that they hate El Paso or don’t like it here.
Maybe it is just me and my wishful thinking, but I love it here.
I would raise a family here and come back once I am done traveling and living my life.
El Paso has so much to offer, people just have to take off their blinders and see it.
It is a lovely big city with a small town feel.
I love it here, not many people my age do.
