The American Association of Community Colleges named EPCC as a finalist for the 2016 awards of excellence.
This award recognizes the exceptional work of Community colleges nationally in the United States.
In this announcement EPCC was the only college in Texas College named as a finalist in this category.

The AACC recognizes a community college that has demonstrated through evidence of a sustained commitment to and proactively advances the cause of student success at a community college.
EPCC was named as a finalist for the award for its outcomes in various areas.
Such as the significant increase in the area of degree competition, certificate competition, and substantially contributed to the integration of completion goals and principles across the institution.
Nominees will be judged by a selected committee of the AACC board directors. The 2016 winners will be announced at the Awards of Excellence Gala at AACC’s Annual Convention in Chicago in April.
AACC’s awards of excellence brings national visibility to promising practices among its member’s colleges.
AACC is the primary advocacy organization for the nation’s community colleges. Representing nearly 1,200 two year, associate degree-granting institutions and more than 13 million student.
