The El Paso Community College will be co-sponsoring “Siemens Connects” presented by B&M Machinery. The event is being held on Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Alamo Ballroom and Convention Center located on 820 N. Raynor.
“The idea was to have an event that was focused on the Internet of things,” B&M Sales Engineer, Joe Cox said. “The reason why my partner, Raul Bernal and I wanted to partner with EPCC was to connect students with new technology. It’s a huge revolution and there’s a lot of talent in the industry.”
The event will focus on the powerful global manufacturing tool available, the “New Industrial Internet.” Siemens Connects is a single day event featuring the latest Siemens technology. Siemens Connects is a single day event featuring the latest in Siemens technology.
“B&M and Siemens are on the forefront of the industrial (factories, utilities, mining, electrical plants, agriculture) which is a very exciting time to learn and enter the factory automation business,” Cox said. “In short, this is one for the largest expansions of industrial technologies ever in history.”
Topics covered at the event will include industrial networks and switches, industrial computers, PLC’s and HMI’s, AC and DC drives, along with live presentations. There will also be product announcements, refreshments and prizes being offered to pre-registered attendees.
“There will be a promotional booth at EPCC for everyone,” Cox said. “We invite everyone to come out and see it.”
