When John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance against Skynet, sends Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect his mother, Sarah (Emilia Clarke), from a Terminator assassin, an unexpected turn of events creates an altered timeline.
Instead of a scared waitress, Sarah is a skilled fighter and has a Terminator guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger) by her side. Faced with unlikely allies and dangerous new enemies, Reese sets out on an unexpected new mission: reset the future.

Emilia Clarke (L) alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jai Courtney in Terminator: Genisys.
This new installment of the Terminator series is nothing less than spectacular. For die hard fans of the Terminator movies, punchlines as well as storylines from all the previous movies come into play.
The way that director Alan Taylor put this film together let’s those that have not kept up with the franchise feel in the loop thanks to the films wickedly mind-blowing story line and killer CGI effects. The film has made approximately $135,384,090 in global sales in its first week alone.
Although there has been a lot of negative talk about the film, Terminator junkies will still get a kick out of it.
With adrenaline pumping action scenes and amazing time travel sequences, this film does justice to the Terminator franchise and then some.
I give this film 3 out of 5 stars.
