Strippers, Channing Tatum and lots of grind, what more could describe the next chapter of Magic Mike XXL?
Picking up the story three years later, Mike (Channing Tatum) and the remaining Kings of Tampa are on the road this time to put on one last show.

Channing Tatum reprises his role as male stripper Mike in the sequel to Magic Mike. The film, containing scenes of nudity and drug use, is rated R.
There is a basic plot but doesn’t disappoint on the real entertainment. Ready to throw in the towel, the journey continues in Jacksonville and Savannah where old and new friends create some excitement along the way.
Not understanding why the first film wasn’t put to rest, the sequel does make an improvement. More humor and raunchy adventures bring new moves to shake off the past in surprising ways.
It’s not shocking enough to already know what to expect. The big bump and grind features not only Tatum’s special moves but some old and new sets of abs that the audience can look forward to seeing.
In comparison to the first film, the plot is more constructed and dramatic within escaping the lifestyle of a male stripper. Due to the film being rated R, the story focuses less on nudity and more on what the gang can achieve during their road trip.
Reclaiming Mike’s new life, director Gregory Jacobs, pushes the storyline a little different that puts the crew in various situations of fun and sexiness.
We already know Channing Tatum can move a thing or two, but as for the rest of the gang, hidden talents are revealed. Music can definitely set the mood for each scene that tends to get a little bit on the wild side. Matt Bomer, who plays Ken, exposes more than what he has going on underneath by hitting a few pipes to impress the ladies.
More surprises sneak up along the way to make the last film more different from the first. Certain scenes in the beginning had dragging material but progressed further along the journey to Myrtle Beach.
Despite the name of the film, Mike delivers a lot more magic than usual. The film satisfies the audience by bringing male entertainment to a more realistic and fun way. Reuniting somewhat of the same cast members for the second time, drills more thought of what to expect in a different storyline.
It carries different twists and turns but will hit audiences in all the right places of fun, laughter and male entertainment.
I rate this film a 3 ½ out of 5.
