Looking to have your environmental efforts recognized in material form?

From Nov. 12 to 20, the EPCC Recycling Program will visit all EPCC campuses to hold their recycling drive.

“The main focus for us is America Recycles Day,” said Mayra Cordero, EPCC environmental specialist.

Bringing five plastic bags or water bottles equates to a free reusable stainless steel bottle.

Each drive will be held from 10 a.m. to noon.

They will be at Valle Verde on Nov. 12, at Mission Del Paso on Nov. 13, at the ASC on Nov. 14, at Northwest on Nov. 18, at Transmountain on Nov. 19 and at Rio Grande on Nov. 20.

“It’s a great opportunity to make little changes in your life that have a huge impact in our life in a positive way,” Cordero said.

Students can also participate in a competition created by the EPCC Recycling Program to win a $50 gift basket by sending a selfie of them doing something “green” to mcorde30@epcc.edu by Nov. 14.

The photo will be posted on Facebook and whoever gets the most likes will win.
