Universities to provide counsel at Transfer Fair

Information about scholarships, housing, admission requirements, deadlines and a Career Services transfer guide will be provided at the Transfer Fair.

Are the classes you’re taking transferable? This and other questions could be answered at the EPCC Transfer Fair 2014 which will take place at the Valle Verde campus Cafeteria Annex on Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 


“Students will find helpful information such as scholarship information, housing information, admission requirements, admission deadlines and the Career Services transfer guide,” said Pablo Monzon, Career Services department manager at EPCC.


The Career Services department will offer information of the schools attending, career management, career exploration and professional development for all the students attending the transfer fair.


“Many university representatives are on campus to provide information to El Paso Community College students about the educational opportunities available at their campuses,” Monzon said.


Some of the schools attending the fair are the University of Texas at El Paso, University of Texas at Austin, University of Texas at Dallas, New Mexico State University, Grand Canyon University, Texas Women’s University, Sam Houston University, University of New Mexico, University of Phoenix, Grand Canyon University, Howard Payne University and Park University.


Every school will have transfer representatives who will answer questions on which classes transfer and any other questions sutdents might have on their career.
