The Student Physical Therapist Assistant (SPTA) club will have its annual massage-a-thon on Oct. 11 in the Rio Grande campus Health Science Center (HSC) at room H-157 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
They will be giving 15-minute massages for $5, 30-minute massages for $10, 45-minute massages for $15 and one-hour massages for $20 by appointment.
“It’s best to make an appointment because the slots are getting filled to many clients right away,” said Debbie Tomacelli, SPTA advisor.
Tomacelli said that the event has been part of EPCC for 20 years.
“This event has helped our students enroll in the program through fundraising,” Tomacelli said. “SPTA chose a Saturday because a lot of people work during the week and more people will be able to come and make it to this event.”
Walk-ins and appointments are welcomed based on space availability.
“Be on time for your appointment,” said Lizbeth Pichardo, SPTA assistant clerk. “Your spot will be available when you come in. Anyone who has an appointment is welcome to come in earlier.”
SPTA will also be accepting tips to raise money for an annual conference.
For more information, call 831-4017 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to make an appointment.
